Thinking space - making place through art

Researcher, Art Curator, Educator

Situated Practice

My work spans research at the intersection of art and geography, alongside curatorial work. Through ethnographic and arts-based methods, I explore places in transition and the tensions and possibilities that emerge. In some projects, I work in an action-based mode, directly contributing to placemaking in collaboration with artists and different stakeholders.

Inspired by feminist geographer Doreen Massey, I return to the question; how are we going to live in this world together?

My practice unfolds across different countries and contexts - in museums, art spaces, urban environments, and natural landscapes. As a curator, I attend to the relationships, stories and conditions that emerge around art and artists in each particular place. I approach art as a way of engaging with, understanding, and shaping the world.
